Solutions for Couples is a process by which we sit together and brainstorm resolution to your issues.  Over the course of a few hours, we can create a new relationship plan based on negotiated solutions to your problems. Unlike counseling, we will not be dealing with emotions as much as focused negotiation. Emotions may come up, and we will deal with them, but we will not get stuck going over the same problems with the hope that the other person will change. Solutions for Couples is meant to be fast, focused and outcome oriented.

I have worked with couples and families, who were in crisis and made such bad choices when in conflict that the police were called. The judge would order the couple to mediation and we would sit together and brainstorm and facilitate real world solutions to their current conflict. Many of these couples had underlying interests that were not being met, resulting in arguments not being resolved. I started thinking that this process of clarifying each others needs is something that all couples might benefit from.

Couples counseling and individual therapy are wonderful tools, and couples should definitely use those methods if they feel it is necessary. What I am proposing is another tool where you sit with a trained, certified mediator who will assist you in brainstorming actual solutions into existence that are difficult to see on your own. Over the course of two or three hours, we can create a new relationship plan based on negotiated solutions to your problems. Unlike counseling, we will not be dealing with emotions as much as focused negotiation. We will not get stuck

going over and over the same problems with the hope that the other person will change. Solutions for Couples is meant to be fast, focused and outcome oriented. You will be amazed at how much emotions are cooled when your true interests are heard and pathways are set up to get them realized.

Often when both sides are in the middle of the struggle it can take a neutral third person to help draw out the solution.
